As we monitor the COVID-19 situation developing around the world, our top priority is to maintain the health and safety of our employees, customers and community members while maintaining a consistently high level of service. We wanted to reach out to you to provide an update on what Formetco is doing in the wake of the current events.
Our Production facilities have maintained open with no delays in scheduled shipments. The facilities are undergoing strict cleaning policies and have a current “No Visitor Policy” for the protection of our employees. All deliveries and shipments are scheduled with only authorized entities and personnel.
Service and Installations
All our normal Service channels remain available. Formetco technicians are being dispatched as needed from their homes to minimize employees at the offices. Service has an added step of verifying current conditions in areas prior to dispatching. Installations are ongoing with coordination of local install teams in regional areas.
All Help Desk personnel are working remotely. We have implemented numerous remote Team technologies for a seamless transition to the remote office environment.
Sales channels are available for any needs that may arise. Sales personnel have implemented the same remote technology as the Help Desk to maintain communications.
Accounting and other office personnel are working staggered in-office and remote shifts. Employees are coordinating with their managers to keep the headcount to a minimum at any given time.
Effective March 16th, all customer and supplier plant tours were suspended and will continue to remain so until further notice. All doors remain locked 24 hours a day and all unannounced visitors are being turned away.
Formetco management is monitoring the situation daily, and considering guidance from the CDC, public health agencies and state officials. We will adapt our protocols as necessary and keep everyone apprised of any updates and changes.
